!!!Stunning Creation Myth!!!
hey guys, haven't updated the blog in quite a while...
as you all know, i was seriously ill and couldn't attend class for some time.
in that time, you guys told of various creation myth stories, and i could not share mine...so here i am ready to share with u another story...
---this myth has originated from African bushmen tribe---
at the beginning of the ages, all the people and animals used to live underground. animals and humans used to live together and could communicate perfectly. they were REAL happy. a being named Kaang used to watch over them. one day, Kaang decided to build a huge tree all the way from the base of the underground to the top of the earth. when he finished creating the top part of the world the way he pleased, he made a pathway out of the tree and all the humans and some animals were able to go up to the world as we know it. Kaang just warned them about one thing - NEVER TO MAKE FIRE. otherwise bad things might happen...
then Kaang left to an unknown place in order to watch over the whole world.
the people and animals had fun in the new world until it was night time. while the animals slept peacefully, the humans got scared of the dark and thus lit fire...and the animals got scared of the fire and fled away. that's when the relationship between man and animals fell apart. and that's why we cannot communicate with animals at all.
By the way, this is a very true and accurate story that makes sense,
especially since the men were never afraid of the dark underground
;)

Golden Bough
The witch in Theocritus, while she melted an image or lump of wax in order that her faithless lover might melt with love of her, did not forget to throw into the fire a shred of his cloak which he had dropped in her house.
